From there it was off to Babies-R-Us, which went fairly smoothly.
Then it was off for a "quick" trip to Chick-Fil-A. What normally would be a 2 minute drive turned into a 15 minute endeavor due to holiday traffic. Ugh.
We arrived, expecting it to be utterly packed. To my surprise, not as crowded as I thought. What did we find though? Santa, Mrs. Claus, and a helper! Apparently this was an advertised event, but I was there by pure coincidence and apparently most other people were too busy to come on out. We got to sit on Santa's lap. When I say "sit", I mean that Santa held Jason while I had to stand as a buffer between Tyler and Santa. Kinda wishing I hadn't caved and let Tyler wear his PJ's. LOL. Other than the PJ's, it's a pretty cute picture. They took it with a Polaroid. Tyler was quite fascinated and I was happy to have not paid $17 for a photo. I'd much rather donate some money to whatever charity it was they were supporting (they didn't ask for donations at all, just a small container on a table that was barely noticeable).

Have I mentioned recently how much I love Chick-Fil-A?

Afterwards Tyler iced and decorated a cookie with Mrs. Claus. He was a little more comfortable with her. Then again, the child is easily won over with icing and sprinkles.
All in all a nice evening, if I could have erased the whole Kohl's part. Oh, and the traffic. Oh, and Tyler physically being removed from the play area at Chick-Fil-A when he decided not to cooperate. Oh, and the 2 screaming boys on the drive home. Yep, other than that, just perfect!
