crisis averted

Last night we had a bit of a crisis in the Eline household. You may ask yourself, what epic event occured? Is everyone okay? Well, this is what happened.
Now you may say, "Uh, it's a blanket". Yep, that's right. It's a blanket. But not any blanket. It's THE blanket of all blankets. It's Tyler's one and only "yellow taggie blankie". He's had it since birth and he cannot sleep without it. So, now you may say "Uh, so you obviously didn't lose the blanket. What's the problem?". Well, this is the problem:
Still don't get it.
Yep, the sacred tag, the one rubbed every night until sleep becomes him, had fallen off. Thank god we found it. I then performed "blankie surgery" and, to the best of my ability, re-secured "taggie" to "yellow taggie blankie". As you can see, life is good again.

LOL, that's too funny!
We tried to fool Erin once with an impostor Piggy, but she knew right away because his paw wasn't flat from her rubbing it at bedtime.

I can't begin to tell you just how many times I have performed "surgery" on the boys' "babies". Blue Baby has been without one of his ears (I have it, but haven't sewn it back on) for nearly a year now. Blue Baby has also had his poor head stitched back on at least half a dozen times. Yellow Baby has had a few head reconstructions as well. Oh yes, and I believe one of them has also had an arm sewn back on as well. It's rather disturbing.
