Disney, day 6

We went to Ohana at The Polynesian for breakfast. I had heart great things, and I must say that I liked it. Pretty good food (family style breakfast) and a great atmosphere. The boys loved the characters: Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch.

We had plans this day to go back to Magic Kingdom. Ty finally got his wish to ride the monorail, from the Polynesian (where we had breakfast)!

Almost immediately we hit rain. Heavy rain, yet again. I think my mom ended up sitting with Jason (was was napping) under cover while my dad procured fast pass tickets for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain again (Ty's favorites) where Ty and I later met him to ride.

Finally got on Dumbo. At least if we couldn't get on Small World we managed to get on one classic!

We had gotten last-minute reservations at a little restaurant near the ice cream shoppe (Plaza Restaurant) for an early dinner. We hadn't even thought of the fact that the 3:00 parade was at the same time, so Tyler was really disappointed. Luckily he was able to get glimpses of it from his seat, but obviously it's not the same. I, for one, was happy to watch glimpses of the parade while sitting in air conditioning!

People Mover!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

We came across a little "Block Party" (or was it a dance party?). I dont' think I've ever seen this particular parade before, but I was thrilled because Ty (and myself and mom) had been a little disappointed that we hadn't seen the traditional 3:00 daily parade either of the days we had been in Magic Kingdom. This filled the void. Both boys loved getting to dance in the streets and then later sit and watch at the action, waving all the while.

Ducks! Ty always loved the ducks over by the castle when he was little. Jason apparently liked them just as much.

Aladdin magic carpet ride. Both boys loved it.

Of course we had to see the Tiki Birds. Another example of a ride or attraction that Ty used to think was "scary" (for whatever reason) and now finally realizes it's NOT scary. Jason liked the singing birds as well.

Some point during the day we also did the Winnie the Pooh ride again, as well as Philharmagic. Apparently no pictures, so I don't have a timeline.

We decided not to deal with any more rain, so we came back to the hotel. We took some time to finally pick out souvenirs in the gift shop. Ty picked out a stuffed Mickey (surprise, surprise) and Jason picked out a stuffed "ga ga" (his version of "Donald Duck") which has proven to be his favorite character.

We also killed some time at the arcade where we had some free tokens to use that were given to us at check-in.

We got to bed slightly earlier that night (by 11 or so...pretty funny that that is "early", huh?) but not before Ty watched the default TV station program of "must do" Disney attractions for about the 20th time. Never gets old.
