Disney-bound

So waaaayyyy back, on August 16th, we had a normal Monday. Well, a little chaotic with packing, but otherwise normal. Speech therapy, etc. That night, I put Jason to bed, but let Ty stay up. Around 9 or 10pm my dad, my mom, myself, and the boys buckled up and got on the road, Disney-bound. Jason luckily fell back to sleep, and Ty was to sleep fairly quickly. Everything went smoothly until a bathroom/gas break around 1am. At that point Jason woke up, and remained awake for a very long time. He was initially happy, eating animal crackers and playing. Here is is, at 1:25.

Unfortunately he wanted to go back to sleep, but couldn't get comfortable. He never fell back to sleep until maybe 5:30. Tyler tossed and turned too, but did get some sleep, unlike my parents and myself.

Thankfully, after a great bit of uncertainty, we were able to coordinate a visit in North Carolina with daddy. We were able to meet about 5 minutes from his class he was attending, at a Chick-fil-A around 6am. The boys were both happy to see him, and Tyler was thrilled to get the one gift he had been asking for for his birthday, a dolphin "pillow pet".

Eventually we were back on the road. Thankfully the ride was uneventful. The boys actually did a little better during the day than they did at night. Jason was occasionally occupied with videos, Tyler with his leapster.

We arrived in Florida, Tuesday around dinner time. We made it!
