holy heat loss

Growing up I thought icicles were beautiful. My dad recently ruined it for me, by pointing out that icicles signify heat loss. Makes sense, in that the heat rises and escapes through the roof and melts the snow on the roof, causing the icicles. Log cabins are notorious for heat loss, hence all the icicles. So, now I think of icicles and think of heat loss. Beautiful heat loss.

On Monday, after Tyler's 2 useless hours of school (thanks to delayed opening because of the snow/ice) we set off to play and take some icicle pictures.
