Today was Family Fun Day for Al's work. It was held at Ballast Point in Tampa, a cute park right on the bay.
Jason was nothing but smiles.
Tyler got his wish when he discovered not one, but three, inflatables at the event. He spent some time sliding (more like probably an hour sliding). Just a couple of weeks ago he refused to try this exact slide at pump-it-up. Today there was no stopping him.
Then we stood in a long line for some drinks and burgers and chips and we ate at a nice little spot by the water.
Tyler refueled.
Meanwhile Jason had fun looking all around (and not sleeping, or eating for that matter).
Some more bouncing.
Tyler apparently needed a sugar fix.
They had a pie throwing "event". It was some sort of fundraiser thing and all the guys (and I suppose girls) could make a donation and nominate someone to get a pie thrown in their face. I don't know the details, but somehow my husband was one of those guys. They let the kids be the ones to throw/smoosh the pies. Tyler was a little hesitant at first, but finally went for it.
Tyler went pretty easy on him (compared to the other kids), but Al was still pretty messy.
As you can see, Tyler was quite pleased with himself.
Tyler finally got over his fear of face painting. Well, hand painting to be exact. A bunch of cute teenagers turned him to the dark side.
And what did my little boy pick? You guessed it, a butterfly. LOL.
Ah, yes, more sugar.
Jason, finally giving in to a short nap.
After 3.5 hours at family fun day, we had an appointment on base to get new IDs. This went surprisingly well (as well as IDs can go) and we did a quick tour of daddy's work. We were going to go grab some things at the commisary, but quickly recalled that it was Friday AND was pay day. We vetoed that idea pretty quickly and came home. Tyler was FILTHY so he got a bath while I fed the baby and got him down for a nap. We watched some TV and had a simple dinner and just relaxed. Then for the first time I gave Jason a bath in the big boy tub, and of course Tyler couldn't resist climbing in (even though he had JUST had a bath). It was adorable watching my boys play together in the tub. Priceless!
