cow appreciation day

July 9th might not seem like a significant day, but in fact it's Cow Appreciation Day. I've had it marked on my calendar for months. Literally. As you know I'm a bit addicted to Chick-fil-A, and on "cow appreciation day" the give away free MEALS if you come in dressed like a cow. I figured at first I wouldn't be able to attend because Marisa would be here, but I decided she needed to experience Chick-fil-A for the first time, and what better time is there? Clearly she'd need to get dressed up and be embarrassed in front of my friend, right? So we gathered a big group to go. Safety in numbers.

So that afternoon we printed out their cow costume kit of their website, and with the help of some other websites we created our own "costumes". And now, as a forever reminder, we have outline of a cow face on our kitchen table, courtesy of Tyler's use of an unknown-to-be-permanent marker. LOL.

Anyway, in total there were 15 of us (me and the boys, my mom, Beth and her girls, Marisa and her girls, and Sherry and her girls). I'm sure we were quite the site. I am happy to report that we all ate for free! A good time was had by all!

Enjoy the photos, courtesty of 2 camera phones and 1 regular camera. Only I could need a whole blog post dedicated to Chick-fil-A!

Heard about this day on the radio on the way to work. I thought about you and figured you all were dressing up. Love the pictures. The little ones are way, way too cute. We'll have to remember to participate next year.
