snorkel

On Monday we had our typical morning of cleaning, playing, and other uneventfulness. After Kindergarten pick-up we stayed to play on the playground a bit. When we were leaving Erich (Mackenzie's dad) announced that he had a surprise for Tyler. He gave Tyler his very own snorkel and mask so that he could practice like Mackenzie. It was so sweet of him and Tyler was delighted. Of course it was supposed to rain that afternoon and Jason was due to have speech, so we couldn't go to the lake right away. Ironically speech ended up needing to be cancelled because Jason started running a random high fever. So Tyler checked out his snorkel gear in the bathtub that night. He did surprisingly well, considering he's still very leery of water.

That night Jason's fever stayed up for a while, but luckily never went over about 102.9. He went to bed and slept fine...until about 4-something. Again. Lovely. So we enjoyed a 5:00am tea party. Not my favorite time of day for tea, but Jason seemed happy.
