I swear the days are just flying by, faster and faster. With the school year ending it seems like we've just got more and more going on. Shouldn't that be the opposite?
Monday. Same as all Mondays. School. Playground after school. Speech therapy, yet again. Jason is trying really hard to use his mouth for operating blow toys and horns. Too cute. He's also TRYING to imitate words, but he still has no consonant sounds (other than "m") so "ball" sounds like "a" and "clock" sounds like "ock". In other words, no one would understand him, including us unless we can see obviously what he's referring to. Poor kid, as he gets so frustrated. That evening we had a trip to the lake after dinner.
Tuesday night we had a trip to the library and then to the playground to enjoy the beautiful evening.
Wednesday night we had to run around like crazy all day trying to get stuff done. I know there was a trip to the playground after school and then Shoprite (Tyler got to go to the kids area). Then we put together dinner to bring a friend who had just had a new baby. Sad to say, I didn't get any pictures myself. Boo. From there we dropped by my grandparents house for an impromptu visit.
And, congratulations to my sister-in-law Dottie, as I received a call overnight that she had her healthy baby girl Wednesday night at 11:55!
Speaking of babies (as there are a lot of them), the birds in our little birdhouse appeared to have hatched from their eggs. We can hear chirping. Too cute!
Thursday we had a playdate in the morning for Jason (and mommy). That afternoon Tyler had his first playdate at a house with another boy. He had a great time, and the mom let him stay the whole time while Jason had OT, which was quite helpful for me. Jason made a little progress with tolerating a huge therapy ball. That night we had a mad rush to get out the door to deliver dinner again to a family with a new baby (this time my friend Jeff and his wife Missy had their 3rd baby girl). This time I got to hold the cute little one...but sadly again no pictures! After feeding everyone else dinner we managed to not have time for dinner ourselves, so we rushed over to Chick-fil-A for some dinner.
Friday was a special day and we let Tyler skip school. More on that to come!
