Okay, so technically our spring break began that Friday, but since I already posted about the beginning of our break (with our camping trip), I'm continuing on now...
On Sunday my mom had a comp room in Atlantic City so we brought the boys down for the night. We checked in our room and then went onto the pier to enjoy the rides for the first time of the season. The Easter Bunny was there, handing out goodie bags to each of the kids, which made them quite happy of course.
That evening after we ate at a buffet we went back to the room and the boys entertained themselves with an Easter egg hunt IN our room (with the eggs they received in the goodie bags) and then took baths using their eggs at bath toys. We know how to make our own fun. LOL.
And then, because I'm insane, I expected my children to go to bed. Tyler actually did pretty well, but Jason was a whole different story. That kid just would NOT go to bed. And once he finally did go to bed he would not stay asleep. Pretty sure that a hotel room and a 2-year-old is about my worst decision to date.
After our night's "sleep" we ate a small breakfast, packed up, and checkout out of the hotel before navigating our way in the city to check out the Atlantic City Aquarium. We had never been before, and we were impressed. It's much smaller than say the Camden Aquarium, but much cheaper as well. However it was much less crowded and they were able to have more of a hands-on experience. Obviously there were fish and such, but they were most impressed by the touch tanks with sting rays, tiger sharks, starfish, etc. Very cute.
