February 19-25

On Sunday I was feeling really poorly, so much so that I believe my dad took Ty to church and my mom watched Jason while I tried to sleep. Thankfully Beth also took Ty for a play date with Kenzie later in the day so I could relax a little.

Monday, unfortunately, was no school due to president's day. I still wasn't feeling well, but going out would take less energy than sitting home and dealing with whining and fighting kids...so we went to the discovery museum (our go-to place in cooler months, since we do have the season pass). As you can see, Tyler does not think he's too old for the museum. In fact he apparently is not embarrassed to dress up in girls' clothing and perform. He's gonna kill me for that picture in a few years!

That evening my mom watched Jason so I could bring Ty to his counseling appointment.

On Tuesday Jason showed off his puzzle skills. The boy does love his puzzles!

Later that afternoon, while Jason was at school, I pulled Ty from school for his dentist appointment (the first of his 2 appointments for various work he needs done...ugh). He threw a bigger tantrum about this than Jason did. Ugh again. Later than night he had karate.

On Wednesday we spent some time outside to enjoy the beautiful day. Sidewalk chalk continues to entertain Jason.

We took a quick trip to the playground at the beach. Look who will finally go on the big slide again!

That afternoon they both had spring pictures at school.

After the boys got done school we spent some more time on the playground!

On Thursday I was supposed to be "mystery reader" in Tyler's class. I was soooo sick that day that I ended up cancelling, which really upset me. Crohn's sucks.

Luckily that afternoon Tyler had his illustrator's club, so that kept him busy. Jason doesnt' mind sitting around with me when i'm not feeling well...Tyler, not so much.

On Friday Jason had his ophthalmology appointment, as had been recommended by numerous specialists. He did great and they found nothing concerning, which is awesome.

That evening, while Tyler was at karate, I whipped up a homemade instant pudding to make a little dessert to "celebrate" Tyler's half birthday. He was pleased.

On Saturday, since Valentine's Day had passed, the boys insisted on starting St. Patrick's Day craft. I've created craft monsters.

We did some hide-n-seek. Jason yells "reh-ee or um, ear me nah" (ready or come, here me not)

That afternoon we spent some time looking at photos. Jason was looking perplexed staring at a picture of me when I was pregnant with him. I tried explaining that it was when he was really little and was in my belly. He asked "you eat me????" with a look of shock on his face. Priceless.

That evening, partially because I was feeling so poorly (and lazy), I decided to help them make english muffin pizzas for dinner. Tyler thought this was fascinating. Jason was not impressed, as usual.
