On Saturday, after not having gotten any of our predicted snowfall Sunday during the day, we got snow that evening that they hadn't predicted! On Sunday after church we came home, ate a quick early lunch, and made our way to the hill to do a little sledding. We didn't have much snow at all, but it's been a pretty weak winter as far as snowfall goes, so I figured we better take this chance. Tyler got to check out his new/first snowboard, which he seemed to enjoy. Jason charmed his way into getting all the "older" girls to do his dirty work (push the sled, pull it up the hill). LOL.
That afternoon we were invited to Tyler's friend's little brother's birthday party (Tyler and the boy used to play on the playground after school quite often). The boys of course had a blast at Pump-it-up. The 2 good photos are not mine...don't want to take credit for actual good photos. Mine are always crappy. LOL.
Monday morning we had our VERY long awaited speech therapy evaluation at CHOP for Jason. Even though he had already been evaluated (briefly) as part of his developmental pediatrician appointment, he had to be fully re-evaluated in order to get back on the waiting list for actual treatment. Interesting appointment. Apparently any trip to CHOP wears the child out.
At least Tyler still got his play date after school. Wii is always a good time.
He also brought home a spectacular report card!
Valentine's day is an exciting day in the life of a 3 and 7 year old. For me, I could do without it these days. LOL. Got to finish up the cupcakes for both of the boys school parties (these are Jason's).
An exciting Valentine's day breakfast.
Of course my mom had some gifts for the boys.
Then it was off to the library for a Valentine's Day books and crafts.
Jason felt the need to continue crafting.
Once Jason was off to school for his exciting day, I got to go in and help with Tyler's party. He was excited to have me there and I was glad to be there.
The boys immediately had to check out their Valentine's Day loot.
Then it was quick off to the library for a program for Tyler. Jason and a friend got to hang out and do puzzles. I think Jason has a crush.
After a busy day Bob and I had a romantic "date" at Chick-fil-a with the kids.
I even got flowers. So at least it wasn't a totally useless Valentine's Day.
That evening, since Jason had missed school on Monday due to the speech evaluation, I got to finally check out his "report card". Some interesting progress reported from his therapists. Would love to be a fly on the wall some day in school with him!
On Wednesday I had a doctor's appointment for Jason, to see if his cough was in his lungs. This was the cough that had literally lasted 7.5 weeks (developed the day after Christmas) but would always sound worse than the doctor said it was (had been previously and had had the nurse at school listen to him). It seemed like it was a little more in his chest, but in reality it apparently was not...however she said he had a double ear infection. You would never know it though cause he never complained about his ears, but he got to start on antibiotics (for, I believe, the 2nd time ever) which ultimately cleared his cough as well.
On Thursday, after "club", Tyler finally got to check out his "sparring gear" that his daddy got him for Christmas. They now will be sparring every other week, so he's pretty excited.
And Jason, after almost 3.5 years of not allowing me to cover him with a blanket, has discovered this one that my WebMD gals made him before he was born. So sweet.
On Friday the boys had no school due to president's day weekend. And obviously no school on Saturday either...yet nothing on my calendar. I have no recollection of what we did, so I guess it remains a mystery! Obviously means I wasn't feeling well. Awesome.
