Tyler's boyscouts overnight campout at the Riversharks had AGAIN been rescheduled for Saturday night, so we had to leave immediately after Tyler's birthday party at pump-it-up. It actually was a pretty decent night for a game and the kids got to play a little in the kids club, eat dinner, participate in a scout parade, and watch post-game fireworks.
After the crowd cleared out we went back to our van for all of our gear before being allowed back in the stadium for our campout. We got to set up our tents on the field (without stakes) and then the kids got to watch a movie on the bigscreen. In actuality they couldn't really hear the movie and instead ran around, played baseball, and ate snacks before "lights out" around midnight. Tyler actually fell asleep pretty quickly. I got a little sleep between the train running ALL night long and the older kids sneaking out of their tents. It could have been worse though as we actually had really decent weather.
That next morning, after a quick breakfast and packing up our gear, the kids got to have a baseball clinic with three of the players. Tyler had fun at the different stations. Afterwards he got his baseball glove signed by all three!
By the time we left the overnight trip, not even halfway home, it started pouring rain. We had gotten lucky that we had fit in the whole overnighter! Came home to finally open all of Tyler's birthday presents that he had received the day prior at his party.
On Sunday afternoon, as if we weren't tired enough, we had Connor's birthday party to attend. It was supposed to be at a miniature golf place, but there were terrible storms so it had to be relocated to the bowling alley. All the kids had a nice time though.
